Raiwind [ Pakistan On March 18 (ANI): Escaped Religious Leader Zakir Naik met former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at their residence in Raiwind as reported by The Express Tribune.

At the gathering held at the Sharif family residence, the academic and Pakistan Leaders from the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) allegedly talked about several matters. Nonetheless, according to The Express Tribune, an official announcement detailing the specifics of their discussion has not been made public yet.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has sparked controversy after meeting Dr Zakir Naik Last week, Hafeez posted images of their gathering on social media, which led to significant backlash, according to The Express Tribune.

According to The Express Tribune, Hafeez shared, "It was great meeting with Zakir Naik alongside photos of them together, such as one from a restaurant.

The post received strong reactions online, with many questioning his decision to meet Naik. According to The Express Tribune, One social media user commented, "This is one of the reasons why the Indian cricket team and the Indian government do not want to come to Pakistan ."

Much of the backlash originated from Indian citizens. Naik is presently sought by Indian officials for allegations involving money laundering and promoting extremism.
