Qona Sacco aims to attract qualified candidates for different roles across multiple departments, offering positions on both permanent and contract bases.

The collaborative community announced multiple available jobs covering areas such as transportation, purchasing, sales promotion, client service, and financial administration.

Previously known as Safaricom Sacco, the organization stated that it is looking for capable and enthusiastic individuals to drive its expansion and evolution plans following an asset base of more than KSh 12.9 billion.

Senior Communications and PR Specialist - Full-Time Position

The person in this role will oversee both internal and external communication, boost brand presence, and sustain robust relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a similar discipline.
• At least four years of professional background in communications, media, or journalism is required.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, content management tools, and various social networking sites.

Procurement Manager - Permanent Position

The candidate will oversee the procurement of goods and services, manage suppliers, and handle contract negotiations.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business is required. Having a postgraduate degree would be beneficial.
• Certifications required include being a Certified Procurement and Supply Professional (CPSP-K) or belonging to the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). Having a CIPS (UK) certification would be beneficial.
• At least five years of experience in procurement, including a minimum of three years in a senior position within a financial institution, SACCO, or similar entity.

Marketing Assistant - Contract

This person will be responsible for bringing in and keeping new individual and corporate members, making sure they stay engaged.

The position is for a 2-year contract, contingent upon performance.

Requirements:

• A diploma in Sales and Marketing, Cooperative Management, or another related business area.
• At least two years of experience in a marketing position, ideally within a co-operative or financial organization.
• Training in customer service along with experience within the cooperative sector.

Digital Marketing Specialist - Full-Time Position

The person in this role will enhance the Sacco brand, boost engagement, and improve conversion rates.

Requirements:

• A diploma in Sales and Marketing, Cooperative Management, or another area related to business.
• At least two years of experience in a marketing position, ideally within a co-op or financial organization.
• Having customer service training along with experience in the cooperative sector will be beneficial.

Customer Service Representative - Temporary Position

A Customer Care Assistant will offer skilled and polite assistance to both walk-in and online customers.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in a comparable customer service position.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Credit Assistant – Debt Collection - Full-Time Position

The individual will oversee the loan portfolio, guaranteeing prompt repayments and averting loans from turning into non-performing assets.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional experience within the finance industry, including a minimum of 1 year specifically focused on debt collection and recovery.

Sacco pointed out that those selected successfully will need to work from the Sacco offices located in Westlands, Nairobi.
