4 Outstanding Vietnamese Coffees Making Their Mark Globally
Vietnam's iced milk coffee, black coffee, egg coffee, and yogurt coffee have been acknowledged by the international food publication TasteAtlas as among the top 63 finest coffee beverages globally.
TasteAtlas released a list featuring the globe’s best 63 coffees, with Vietnamese iced milk coffee placing at number seven, black coffee coming in at fourteenth place, egg coffee securing the twenty-seventh spot, and yogurt coffee ranked fifty-third.

Ever since the French introduced coffee in the mid-1800s, it has become an integral part of Vietnamese culture. Nowadays, Vietnam stands as one of the globe's leading coffee producers and is the primary exporter of robusta beans.
The intense and assertive taste of robusta is highlighted in black coffee, prepared through filtration without any additives. Often, international travelers call this type merely Vietnamese coffee.
Egg coffee

Egg coffee emerged in the 1950s and is crafted by beating egg yolks together with sweetened condensed milk until they become thick and airy. This mixture is then blended with strong robusta coffee to create this distinctive beverage.
The mixture of eggs is whipped for approximately 10 minutes and warmed up till it attains a texture similar to custard.

An unexpectedly trendy take on Vietnamese coffee, yogurt coffee blends together strong brewed coffee, yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, and ice. Occasionally, a hint of lemon juice is added for extra zest. This beverage can be prepared by mixing all components thoroughly until creamy or served as layers where the coffee is carefully poured over the top of the yogurt mixture.
At the top of the TasteAtlas ranking is Café Cubano from Cuba, which is a pre-sweetened espresso combined with demerara sugar. Coming in second place is Indian Filter Coffee, prepared using a classic filtration method and then mixed with heated milk and sugar. Rounding out the third spot is Greece’s Espresso Freddo, characterized as a chilled espresso beverage that is thoroughly blended for a silky texture.
