How did Nyakundi secure the internship?
Nyakundi is pursuing a Bachelor of Technology degree in Interior Design with a focus on Environmental Design from TUK. He will be part of a group of specialists exploring construction techniques aimed at improving energy efficiency.
TUK stated on their Facebook page that his extensive portfolio left an impression on the panel of international judges from IAESTE, who chose him as one of the select group of young scholars demonstrating both innovation and enthusiasm in their respective areas of expertise.
"Nyakundi has taken part in various events such as the NICE Labs 50/50, Hackathon – Exploring Visual Cultures, and the Customer Excellence Center Wallpaper Design competition for Kenya Airways. He received high praise for his creativity, relevance, and visual appeal in these endeavors," stated the institution.
The International Liaison Office at TU-K has motivated STEM students to seize over 77 international internship opportunities that are up for grabs.
